NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO
LET ME TELL YOU A STORY THAT’S STRANGE BUT TRUE ABOUT OLD NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
THERE WAS LIONS, AND TIGERS AND KANGAROOS, ELEPHANTS, AND MONKEYS JUST TO NAME A FEW.
(CHORUS)
AND THEY WENT TOO AND FRO FRO AND TOO SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
THEY WENT TO AND FRO FRO AND TOO SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
THE FROGS PLAYED HOP SCOTCH, THE TIGERS DRANK TEA, THE MONKEYS SWANG FROM THE RAFTERS SO VERY CAREFREE.
A RACOON DANCED SO HARD HE LOST HIS SHOE. AND THEY WENT SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
(CHORUS)
AND THEY SANG BOP BOP SHU BA DE DO, SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S
FLOATING ZOO.
BOP BOP SHU BA DE DO, SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
THEY SAILED FOR DAYS AND NEVER SAW LAND, BUT OLD NOAH HAD A PLAN.
AND HE BREATHED A SIGH OF RELIEF WHEN THE DOVE CAME BACK WITH A OLIVE TREE LEAF.
(CHORUS)
AND THEY WENT TO AND FRO…
THE WATER CAME DOWN AT GOD’S COMMAND;
THE SKY WAS BLUE AS THEY STEPPED UPON DRY LAND.
THE RAINBOW IN THE SKY PROVED GOD’S PROMISE WAS TRUE ―
NO MORE SAILING ALONG IN NOAH’S FLOATING ZOO.
(REPEAT 2ND VERSE)
STONES
(CHORUS)
STONES, STONES, STONES,
JESUS BUILDS HIS HOUSE WITH STONES.
STONES ,STONES, STONES,
JESUS BUILDS HIS HOUSE WITH STONES.
SOME STONES ARE THROWN THROUGH WINDOWS COMPLETELY BY MISTAKE.
SOME STONES ARE FLAT AND SMOOTH AND ROUND,
GOOD FOR SKIPPING ON THE LAKE.
SOME STONES ARE BIG AS ELEPHANTS, SOME AS SMALL AS A MOUSE.
BUT JESUS HAS MADE US SPIRITUAL STONES TO BUILD HIS SPIRITUAL HOUSE.
(CHORUS)
AND THERE ARE STONES, STONES, STONES,
JESUS BUILDS HIS HOUSE WITH STONES.
(X2)
AND THEN THERE’S ROCKS THAT ARE STUMBLING BLOCKS ― ARE YOU
ONE OF THESE?
ARE YOU ALWAYS CASTING DOUBT OR BUSY PLANTING SEEDS?
THE TIME HAS COME, NO NEED TO RUN;
IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO SEE
THAT YOU’RE A CHOSEN GENERATION, A HOLY NATION,
NOT A MONKEY HANGING ON A TREE.
(CHORUS)
STONES, STONES, STONES,
JESUS BUILDS HIS HOUSE WITH STONES.
(X2)
DEVIL STOMPING BLUES
WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING
I GIVE JESUS ALL MY CARES,
BEFORE I BRUSH MY TEETH AND BEFORE I COMB MY HAIR.
AND I MAKE SURE THERE’S A SPECIAL BLESSING ON MY SHOES,
CAUSE ALL DAY LONG I SING THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
(CHORUS)
STOMP, STOMP, STOMP, THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES. (X4)
STOMP, COME ON, LET’S STOMP THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
I FEEL PERFECT PEACE WHEN I WALK IN LOVE.
AND WHENEVER I NEED MORE STRENGTH, IT COMES FROM UP ABOVE.
WORLDLY WAYS CAN FRIGHTEN, DISTRACT AND CONFUSE.
BUT YOU CAN CHASE THEM AWAY WITH THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
(CHORUS)
SO STOMP,
COME ON, LET’S STOMP THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
SO WHEN YOU WAKE UP IN THE MORNING, GIVE JESUS ALL YOUR CARES,
BEFORE YOU BRUSH YOUR TEETH AND BEFORE YOU COMB YOUR HAIR.
YOU BETTER NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE WITHOUT YOUR ARMOR ON.
CAUSE YOU GOT PLENTY OF SEEDS THAT NEED TO BE SOWN.
AND MAKE SURE THERE’S A SPECIAL BLESSING ON YOUR SHOES,
AND YOU CAN SING WITH ME THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
STOMP, STOMP, THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES. (X4)
(CHORUS)
STOMP, COME ON, LET’S STOMP THE DEVIL STOMPING BLUES.
(CHORUS)
ELEPHANT IN MY CLOSET

ABOUT STEVE WISHBONE FOX
Well, it seems I have been writing songs for quite some time. I have just recently started a rhyming novel, which my writing group is helping me with. I just finished doing illustrations on a children’s book and am starting another. I plan to do a book with a CD that tells a short synopsis of the story, but is just as fun. I also have just finished a song about Santa to submit to a charitable Christmas CD in hopes that it will get picked. As far as the handle “Wishbone,” I acquired it when I worked for the railroad some years ago. I now work for a hospital and sometimes play music on the side. My music varies from jazz scat to folk to blues, mostly all with a spiritual message, but not always. My songs range from children songs about lost dogs and homesteading elephants to the more serious stuff.
We hope you enjoyed Steve’s songs. You can reach him through us at path2@pathpublishing.com.
Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is he weary; there is no
searching of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28
