Richela Chapman

Afternoon Delight

Pastel   10x20

First Place, Tri-State Art Exhibition

From an early age, Richela Chapman exhibited an interest in art. An active member of the arts community, she has served in numerous leadership roles including President of Amarillo Fine Arts Association.

Richela’s style is Impressionistic Realism. Her award-winning pastel and oil paintings feature in international and national shows, as well as solo and regional exhibitions including the Best of the Southwest Show. She regularly exhibits in national shows of the American Impressionist Society and American Plains Artists, as well as the Master Impressionist Society’s International Exhibition.

A lover of nature, Richela enjoys painting en plein air (outdoors) in the Palo Duro Canyon where nature whirls together rainbow colors, creating a holy tabernacle that delights one’s senses and fills the viewer with awe. Fine art originals designed by Richela reveal the beauty of nature and instill reverence for our Mother Earth. Richela’s landscapes and innerscapes depict deep feelings that she conveys to the viewer. She enjoys expression composition ― light, sound and mood through paint. Unique design decisions make her work a treasure to behold. Her work resides in public and private collections and can be viewed at www.chapmanpalette.com
